Your Mind Is a Paintbrush

Each of us is an artist.

We design the reality we experience.

Your mind is a paint brush, your beliefs and behavior is the paint.

You color palette is the only one in existence.

As is mine.

For day, months, and even years, the hues we apply might be

bold and bright. We might enjoy this.

Each painting is a pop fantasy.

Sparkling, wide eyed, and passionate.

Orgasmic and exhilarating.

For days, months, and even years, the hues we apply might be

drab and dreary. We might also enjoy this.

Every painting is our version an impressionist rainstorm.

Inky, grey, and lonely.

Desperate and claustrophobic.

For days, months, and even years,

we may be blind to the colors of our life.

More is added to the canvas each day.

After some time, we can’t discern what the image was intended to be.

To the right, that woman looks familiar, but do I know her?

At the corner, is that a place I’ve been, or a movie I saw?

Each of us is an artist.

The mind is a paint brush. Life is our canvas.

Every morning, we wake, and begin mixing paints.
